Philosophy:Incorporate the principles of
classical riding in modern dressage
Joey Mann is from Rosetown, Saskatchewan
and is a graduate of the Equine Science Program at Olds
College. Upon completion of her diploma, Joey began work
as breeding manager at Touchstone farms. In 1990 Joey took
a position as an apprentice with Val Hellerud at Teradan
Farms helping to train young prospects and sale horses.
In 1995, Joey was fortunate to be able to spend six weeks
in Germany at the Verden auction and local stables. This
is where Joey first experienced the auction process from
preparation, to presentation, to sale. Coincidentally, Joey
has been the top-seller auction rider at both the 1993 and
1995 Spruce Meadows auctions.
In 1998, Joey found a mentor in Paul Belasik,
a world reknown classical horseman based in Pennsylvania.
Joey rides with Paul every few months in clinics at Teradan
Farms and travels to Pennsylvania at least once a year.
Today Joey is training Grand Prix with her
top horse Avalon. At Teradan, Joey runs the farm's breeding,
marketing , sales and training operations.
Andrew is a Calgary based hunter/jumper
rider as well as a nationally certified coah and has been
working with Teradan Farms since 2000. Andrew helps to start
all of the young horses that come out of the Teradan Farms
breeding program and competes these horses in the hunter
and jumper disciplines.
Originally from Vancouver, Andrew has spent
several years working on the West Coast, including California,
with top hunter and jumper trainers.
